Bundesliga: Where next for superstar Haaland?
After setting yet another record in an already dazzling career, just where will Erling Braut Haaland end up next when he calls time on his stay at Borussia Dortmund?
The Norway international scored on his return in Dortmund's 3-1 victory at Wolfsburg on Saturday, becoming the youngest player to reach 50 German Bundesliga goals.
Records keep on tumbling
It is just another incredible achievement so early in the 21-year-old's career, having already become the youngest (20 years 231 days) and fastest player (14 games) to score 20 Champions League goals.
Adding to that, Haaland is also the youngest player to score in six consecutive Champions League appearances, while he was the first teenager to score 10 goals in a Champions League campaign (2019/20).
The Norwegian is also the first Dortmund player to score on debut in the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League, while he is the first player to score eight goals in their first four Bundesliga matches.
What next for young sensation?
Having made such a sensational start to his career, it won't be long until Haaland departs Signal Iduna Park and reports suggest a summer exit is likely.
With his contract not expiring until 30th June 2024, BVB are in no hurry to sell their prized asset, but they may have no choice with reports claiming the striker has a release clause between 75million and 100million euros that becomes active in the summer.
In this day and age, that amount is regarded as a snip for a player with such talent and there will be a clammer of clubs willing to shell out that money for the Leeds-born ace.
We look at the clubs that have the financial ability to fund a deal and which destination will be the best to further develop and enhance Haaland's career.
Reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have a habit of poaching Dortmund's best players and the Bavarians made one of the best transfer decisions of all time when signing Robert Lewandowski in 2014 on a free transfer.
German duo Mario Gotze and Mats Hummels are another two that have made the switch to the Allianz Arena during their careers, and Haaland would certainly thrive in Bavaria.
You only have to look at how well Lewandowski, a candidate for this year's Ballon d'Or, has done during his time there to know playing for the Munich outfit is a striker's paradise.

With Kylian Mbappe seemingly edging closer to a move to Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain will be hoping to bring in a superstar replacement for the France international.
Argentine legend Lionel Messi being on the books at the Parc des Princes certainly makes the move to France more appealing, while the wage packet on offer is unlikely to be matched by many other of the world's leading clubs.
Speaking of Real Madrid, there is still the chance they will look to bring in Haaland, even if they manage to acquire the services of Mbappe next summer.
Playing at the Santiago Bernabeu is still one of the most revered things in football and it would be difficult for the Norwegian to turn down the chance to play for the Spanish giants.
Steeped in such history, Los Blancos remain one of the biggest lures in football and the possibility of winning the Champions League, which Madrid are 2.50 to do this season, would likely be increased with Haaland in the ranks.
The chance of play under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City would be another opportunity Haaland may struggle to turn down, but the Spanish tactician may not be in charge of the Premier League champions for many more years.
Guardiola has recently reaffirmed his desire to step into the international scene and when his City contract expires on 30th June, 2023, it could be adios for the former Barcelona chief.
This would severely hamper City's chances of landing Haaland and that is why the Citizens are not one of the leading contenders to sign the striker.
With rumours linking Egypt international Mohamed Salah with a move away from Anfield, Liverpool could look to spend big on Haaland's signature.
Jurgen Klopp still has strong links to Dortmund, having managed them from 2008-2015 before taking the Reds job, and he will be hoping to use them in any potential negotiations.
With Liverpool's impressive form over the past few seasons on both the domestic and European stage, Haaland could be tempted into making the switch to Merseyside.
Reigning European champions Chelsea are one of the leading forces in the world of football and they are playing some attractive football under head coach Thomas Tuchel.
Haaland would be a great addition, but the Blues would have to look at selling players before they can look at bringing in the Norwegian.
With Romelu Lukaku back at Stamford Bridge, there is currently a plethora of attacking options at Tuchel's disposal, including the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech.
There is the possibility Chelsea could offer Werner, who has endured a difficult time of things in London, plus money in a potential deal for Haaland.
Best place to go?
In summary, looking at those clubs mentioned, Bayern would argubly be the best destination for Haaland when he leaves Dortmund, as he knows the league well and will easily fit into Munich's style of play.
For this writer, Manchester City would be second, but the doubts over Guardiola's long-term future is a big worry, while Real Madrid would be third choice.
